Cancellations & Refunds:
Cancellations must be made via email and the following charges apply to a course with practical workshops once a booking has been confirmed:
- More than 3 weeks prior to the first workshop – 25% of course fee plus £25 admin fee
- Less than 3 weeks prior to the first workshop – 50% of course fee plus £25 admin fee
- 5 working days (or closer) prior to the first workshop – 100% of course fee
100% of the course fee will be payable for non-attendance to any practical sessions/workshops.
For any online courses (where there is no requirement to attend practical workshops) if cancellation is made in writing within 14 days of signing up for the course, a full refund will be given. No refund will be given after this 14-day period.
Pre-course Study:
In order for the course to progress smoothly there is an amount of independent study that can be completed online or via a workbook. If this work is not completed prior to and throughout the course, there may be the need to postpone certain assessments until such time this work has been completed. This may delay certification.
Course Materials:
All course materials will be provided. In the event of any pre-course reading, manuals will be issued only after confirmation of deposit has been received.
Resits:
One opportunity to resit theory tests and practical observations will be included within the course. Any resits in addition to this will incur a fee of £30 per piece of assessment. There is no charge for the resubmission of worksheets or other written work.
Certification:
As part of the quality assurance process, once the course is completed, all marked work is checked internally. A sample of each cohort’s work is then sent to the awarding organisation, for further scrutiny. This process ensures the high standards outlined by the awarding organisation are upheld. As a result of this process, it can take up to 12 weeks for certificates to be issued.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone courses if there is insufficient interest. In the event that a course is cancelled you will be notified and we will refund any monies paid. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred due to a cancelled event.
